Mr. David H. Witt, age 57, of the Kibbee Community, died Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia, after a sudden illness.  He was a native of Montgomery County, living in Kibbee and Higgston all of his life, and he attended Montgomery County School System.  He was a member of Higgston Baptist Church and attended College Hill Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon where he enjoyed singing hymns.  David enjoyed sports; he was an avid Georgia Bulldog enthusiast and collected Georgia football memorabilia.  He also enjoyed watching women’s softball and basketball, Atlanta Braves, going bowling and riding horses.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl Witt and Frances Milligan Witt.

His family includes four sisters, Karen Witt Williams and husband David of Statesboro, Joan Witt of Vidalia, and Nancy Witt Blincoe and Jill Witt Story, both of Eatonton; one aunt, Marion Hutcheson of Higgston; one uncle, Donald Milligan and wife Sandy of Washington State; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be Wednesday morning, March 6th, a 11:00 at Pine Crest Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Wayne Durden and Reverend Craig Wilkes officiating.
