Hurley GossMr. Hurley “Hub” Goss, age 94, of Glenwood, died March 4, 2024, at Memorial Health University Medical Center, in Savannah, after an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of Wheeler County and retired from J.P. Stevens as a sheer operator. He served our country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. “Hub” was preceded in death by his parents, A.P. and Lula Goss; one daughter, Valerie Goss; grandchildren, Brandon Edge and Brandi Boyd; one brother, Gordon Goss; and sister, Cecil Goss.

Mr. Goss is survived by one son, Hurley “Sonny” Goss and wife Jeanie of Glenwood; three daughters, Vickie Johnson and husband Tim of Dublin, Lori Anderson and husband Randy of Soperton, and Laura Boyd and husband Jessie of Glenwood; seven grandchildren, Misty Calk, Tori Johnson, Nikki Johnson, Derrick Coley, Scott Soles, Allen Coley, and Renea Turner; and several great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Wilkes Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00.

A private service will be held at a later date.
