Michael Nathan LangfordMr. Michael Nathan Langford, age 69, of Collins, died Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at The Oaks Bethany in Vidalia. He was a native of Decatur and had lived the last few years of his life in Collins. He studied Cinema - TV Production at the University of Southern California as well as physics at Georgia Tech, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Georgia. He was an entertainer and cabaret host for WHOlanta, and also worked as a writer and actor for the Atlanta Radio Theater Company and Sketchworks Comedy. He was an avid chess player and enjoyed attending and performing at DragonCon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan Davis Langford and Patricia Ann Crocker Langford; and his partner of 21 years, Kim Holec. 

Mr. Langford is survived by two sisters, Cheryl Beavers and husband Rusty of Greensboro and Sheila Larson and husband Bill of Alpharetta; three nieces, Jessica Boyce of Madison, Kelly Newman of Winder and Amanda Beavers of Athens; and two nephews, Nathan Larson and Jamie Larson, both of Alpharetta.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Wilkes Funeral Home of Vidalia is in charge of the arrangements.
