Mrs. Marcia Tomlin Joslin, age 101, of Lyons, died Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after a brief illness.  She was a native of Toombs County, growing up in Lyons, and was a 1939 graduate of Lyons High School.  She moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and lived there and LaBelle, Florida most of her life before returning to Lyons in 2015.  She was managing waitress at Pier 66 in Ft. Lauderdale and retired after many years.  She was a volunteer at hospice in Florida and the LaBelle Fire Department.  She enjoyed going to their mountain home in North Carolina in the summer, reading, and bird watching, especially Cardinals.  She is preceded in death by her husband, William J. Joslin; parents, Louis Edward Tomlin and Lula Thompson Tomlin; and siblings, Kenneth Tomlin, Burma Tomlin Pierce, Loy Tomlin, Tommye Tomlin Jones, and Bobbye Jo Tomlin Simpson.

Her family includes eight nieces and nephews, Diane Dixon and husband Rusty, Duane Tomlin and wife Marlene, all of Lyons, Sandra Toole and husband Larry of Johnson Corner, Ronnie Tomlin of Lakeland, Florida, JoNan Holbrook and husband Wesley of Lakeland, Georgia, Alan Jones of Vidalia, Ricky Jones and wife Linda of Auburndale, Florida, and Wyman Simpson of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

A celebration of life will be held later.
